Get automatic content detection for your image uploads

We are launching a new trial program that adds an exciting new service to your hosted MDID3 instance. Based on the new Google Cloud Vision API, any new image upload can automatically be visually analyzed and have metadata added accordingly.

The process can detect the following image features:

  • Type of image content (e.g. “building”, “portrait”, etc.)
  • Geographic landmarks
  • Company logos
  • Text in the image
  • Predominant colors

Especially for un-curated faculty and student image uploads, this service can add valuable metadata to facilitate searches and future cataloging.
